We both work as we also have other jobs, so we operate by pre-booked appointment only. To avoid disappointment and embarrassment, please do not just come looking for us, please ring us on 07515 595706 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you don't get an answer straight away, please leave us a message, email or text us and we will call you back as soon we are able to. Please do not call or text after 7pm.
If you would like to be added to our monthly email newsletter, please let us know by either emailing us, or filling in a contact form on the contact us page.
During our months of opening (March to September) we check our emails at regular intervals every day, please email us at email@example.com or complete an enquiry form.
Please read the important information below prior to contacting us. This applies to bee keeping and poultry customers.
BOOKING AN APPOINTMENT
We work by appointment only. Appointments can be made during the week, in the evening, or at weekends, by contacting us in advance. We book our appointments at hourly intervals, so please try to arrive on time, or you may lose your appointment slot. If you are too early, you may be kept waiting in your vehicle or asked to come back at the designated time.
When you arrive for your appointment, please knock at our front door and do not wander around the premises or in to the garden or livestock areas looking for us. If you arrive at the agreed pre arranged time, we will be ready to see you.
Please note, we only book appointments for people who are buying livestock, equipment, husbandry items or feed. We are not open to the public without an appointment.
WE DO NOT ALLOW PETS OR OTHER LIVESTOCK ON THE PREMISES
VISTING US AT THE ARK
It can be muddy in our paddock, so please wear appropriate footwear. We have a disinfectant foot dip for visitors to use before they enter the livestock areas, so please do not wear your best shoes!
CHILDREN & GROUPS
We do not mind you visiting with your children, providing they are kept with you at all times. We live on a smallholding. This can often be dangerous for children or anyone who is not supervised. We therefore do not take responsibility for any personal injuries or damage caused to people, vehicles or belongings whilst on our premises.
We have approximately twelve hives of bees in an apiary here. If you are choosing chickens, please be aware that although you will not be visiting our apiary, as bees are kept on our premises, you may come into contact with flying bees. If you are allergic to bee stings or have any other allergies, please let us know IN ADVANCE of entering the livestock area. We will not be held responsible for people who get stung whilst on the premises.
If you do not wish to accompany us to see the livestock or visit the shop with us, please stay in your vehicle.
We regret that we do not have toilet facilities or refreshment facilities here. There are public toilets and refreshments which are available in Charing Village, which is a short drive away from us.
Sorry but for safety reasons, we cannot accept visits from large groups of more than 4 people, without prior discussion.
PLEASE KEEP ALL GATES CLOSED.
PLEASE DO NOT SMOKE ON THE PREMISES
RESPECTING OUR PRIVACY - PRIVATE AREAS
Whilst visiting us, if you are not with either of us, please stay in your vehicle and do not wander without us around the premises.
Please respect our privacy. This is our home and the house, gardens and all other areas are strictly private. We do not want to have to embarrass anybody by having to ask them to leave areas which are private.
We do not mean to try to put people off visiting us, but we have sadly had past occasions where we have had people visit us who have not been respecting of us, our animals or where we live.
