Children over the age of 6 are welcome and there is a reduction for children aged between 6 and 12 years, when they are accompanied by an adult.

Location; The Ark premises, Charing, Kent.
Costs:- £10 per child (ages 7 to 12). Costs per adult £20.00.
Our 'hands on' Chicken Keeping for Beginners Course covers the main areas of chicken keeping, plus an opportunity to discuss your individual needs at the end of the session. This course is designed to give you all the information you need to know to confidently and responsibly keep your hens.
This course combines structured learning with practical hands on experience. This course also includes hand outs. Following the course there will be a question and answers session. This course is hands on, so please wear appropriate clothing as you may get dirty. To comply with our biosecurity measures, you will also be asked to walk through a foot dip before and after you enter the livestock areas, so please wear wellingtons, or appropriate/ sensible footwear.
If you are allergic to bee stings or suffer from any disability, please let us know well in advance of the course.
Please try to arrive on time and no earlier than 10 minutes before the course starts.
